The 1970's found most Major League Ballparks converting to plastic seats from wood. This product is crafted from the old, wooden seats. Due to the age of the wood and uniqueness of the seats, no two products will be exactly the same. The painted surfaces may be multicolored due to layers of paint.
Additional Product Information
Ebbets Field was built as the Brooklyn Dodgers' home in 1913 on the site of the Pigtown garbage dump at a cost of $750,000. The outfield wall is said to have had more than two hundred different angles which could cause the ball to bounce erratically in play. Ebbets Field was the site of the first televised professional game in August 1939 as well as the site of Jackie Robinson's first major league game in 1947. The wrecking ball used to demolish the ballpark in 1960 was used again four years later to demolish the Polo Grounds. For more information, please visit Authentication.
