2011 Regular Season, Week 3
Lindell's game-winner
Buffalo vs. New England
34 - 31
September 25, 2011
Ralph Wilson Stadium, Orchard Park, New York
Buffalo overcame a first half 21-point deficit to beat New England and snap a 15-game losing streak against them. Buffalo's defense was on fire, intercepting Tom Brady 4 times and returning one for a touchdown. The game wasn't decided until the final seconds when Rian Lindell kicked a 28-yard game-winning field goal as time expired.
1993 AFC Championship Game
4th straight AFC Championship
Buffalo vs. Kansas City
30 - 13
January 23, 1994
Rich Stadium, Orchard Park, New York
Buffalo won its 4th straight AFC Championship with stellar offense and crushing defense. The defense led by Bruce Smith made ""bad things"" happen to Kansas City and QB Joe Montana including a momentum stopping interception by Henry Jones. But the real star of the game was Thurman Thomas who rushed for 186 yards and 3 touchdowns. His last touchdown on a 3 yard run off a handoff from QB Jim Kelly, put the game out of reach and secured Buffalo the title.
1992 AFC Wild Card Playoff
The Comeback
Buffalo vs. Houston
41 - 38
January 3, 1993
Rich Stadium, Orchard Park, New York
It's the greatest comeback in NFL playoff history. Buffalo was down by 4 scores coming out of half and then immediately threw an interception that was returned for a TD. But that's when their luck turned. Down 35-3, Buffalo began a ferocious comeback, getting 4 touchdowns in the 3rd and another in the 4th. Frank Reich threw 3 of those touchdowns to Andre Reed, who had the grab in the 4th to give Buffalo the lead. Houston got a field goal to take it to overtime, but Buffalo got the win on a kick from Steve Christie.
1990 AFC Championship Game
First AFC Championship
Buffalo vs. Los Angeles
51 - 3
January 20, 1991
Rich Stadium, Orchard Park, New York
Buffalo played an almost perfect game to win their first AFC Championship, recording the largest margin of victory ever in a conference championship. On offense, Buffalo recorded 502 total yards, scoring 41 points in the first half. The defense was also stifling allowing only a single field goal and recording two interceptions by Darryl Talley, who ran his first pick back for a touchdown.
