Joe Louis, nicknamed the Brown Bomber, was the world heavyweight boxing champion from 1937 to 1949. He is considered to be one of the greatest heavyweights of all time.
This mixed media reproduction canvas (2' x 4' ) made by Toronto artist Mark Stoddart features boxing legend Joe Louis. The canvas is composed of articles and photos featured in Sport Magazine. This piece is part of the Mark Stoddart Collection “Voices of the Past”, which pays tribute to various black athletes throughout history.
