TORONTO MAPLE LEAF HOCKEY CLUB, 1930-31
This beautiful limited edition reprint comes from a private collection and is an amazing snapshot into the Toronto Maple Leafs and their decorated history. Only three short years after being acquired by new owner Conn Smythe, Smythe promptly renamed the franchise the Maple Leafs after previously operating as the Toronto St. Patricks (1919-1926) and Toronto Arenas (1917-1919), respectively. This image features the Toronto Maple Leafs’ 1930-31 lineup that included franchise and NHL legends “The Kid Line”, consisting of Joe Primeau, Charlie Conacher, and “Busher” Jackson. Other Leafs legends include Francis “King” Clancy, Irvin “Ace” Bailey, Hap Day, Red Horner, Lorne Chabot, Benny Grant, Harold “Baldy” Cotton, Art Duncan, and Andy Blair.
