The 1970's found most Major League Ballparks converting to plastic seats from wood. This product is crafted from the old, wooden seats. Due to the age of the wood and uniqueness of the seats, no two products will be exactly the same. The painted surfaces may be multicolored due to layers of paint.
Additional Product Information:
Originally known as Baltimore Stadium, Municipal Stadium and Venable Stadium, in 1950, the renovation of Memorial Stadium - renamed to honor those who died in World War I and II - was completed. It became home to the Orioles in 1954 and was the first park made entirely of reinforced concrete. On Mother's Day 1966, Frank Robinson was the only player to ever hit a home run ball outside of the park. Until the Stadium's demolition, a flag reading "HERE" marked where the ball went over the back wall. The Orioles played their last game there October 6, 1991, but demolition of the park was not completed until February 2002. The Stadium was also the home to the Baltimore Colts and Ravens of the NFL.
